Leif Höegh & Co A/S (LHC) is one of the leading shipping companies in Norway with headquarters situated in the centre of Oslo. The company was founded in 1927 and is today a major participant in the international shipping industry. The company's strategy is to provide marine transportation services with efficient and flexible vessels in several markets based on quality and security. LHC and its subsidiaries operate a fleet of more than 80 technologically advanced vessels, of which one third is owned or partly owned. In addition the company has a 42% share holding in Bona Shipholding Ltd. which operates a fleet of more than 20 tankers and OBO vessels.

LHC is engaged in the following main activities: - H÷EGH UGLAND AUTOLINERS (HUAL) transports worldwide annually about 700,000 car units including significant quantities of heavy rolling stocks and construction machinery. Its fleet is highly flexible and specially designed for maximum cargo care.
- HÖEGH LINES operates between the US Gulf /North America East Coast and the Red Sea, the Indian sub‚continent and South East Asia. The ships are flexible and carry containers, general cargo and parcel bulk loads.
- FOREST PRODUCTS are carried in the LHC fleet of "open hatch" carriers across the Pacific from USA and Canada to the Far East markets as well as from South America East and West Coasts to Europe.
- COOL CARRIERS AB (Cool) has a fleet of more than 50 modern reefer vessels specially designed for worldwide sea transportation of refrigerated and frozen cargoes. Cool employs personnel ashore and at sea who are highly qualified for the demanding task of safe sea transportation of bananas, deciduous fruits, citrus, meat, rice and other perishable goods.
- LIQUEFIED NATURAL GAS (LNG) is carried on board LHC's two LNG/LPG carriers operating under long term contracts with important players in the energy markets. This trade suits particularly well companies like LHC with skilled seamen, technical know how and with the financial resources to develop and perform safe transportation of this energy for the future.
- DRY BULK, including iron ore, coal and grain cargoes, is transported in a fleet of bulk carriers.
