Jøtul ASA is an automated foundry that manufactures cast-iron wood-burning stoves and fireplaces. Originally established in 1853, the company's wealth of experience and world-wide sales have made it one of the largest manufacturers in the world.

Jøtul and the Environment
The Jøtul plant is one of the most modern plants world-wide. Through our environmentally-friendly process, scrap iron and scrap steel are melted and subsequently recast into modern and efficient stoves and fireplaces.
Our manufacturing facilities in Norway include significant investments in filtration systems to minimise air emissions, which are currently far below government regulations; no effluents are released to the water at all.
Hydro-electric power is used in the iron melting process; in Norway electric power is water power Ñ the most environmentally-friendly source of energy on earth.
Jøtul Gas Products
In 1995, having concentrated exclusively on wood-burning products for some years, Jøtul reintroduced gas stoves and fireplaces as part of its expanding product range. We have recognised the growing demand for quality gas-burning products, especially in the United States, and plan to develop further the Jøtul gas product range in accordance with increasing world-wide demand.

Distribution
In Norway, Jøtul has a dominant position in the domestic market. Our exports represent approx. 50% of total sales.
Today there are Jøtul subsidiaries in France and the United States; throughout the rest of the world the company is represented by independent local distributors.

Jøtul ASA conforms to Quality System Certificate NS-EN ISO 9001 for development, manufacturing and distribution of cast-iron stoves and fireplaces.
