Founded in 1962, Hydranor AS manufactures hydraulic valve components and control units for the operation and control of hydraulic winches and ship steering gear. Since 1975, the company has served the international shipping and offshore industries exclusively.

Modular System
In 1988, Hydranor developed complete modular valve units for drive and control of all types of winches. They are compact and easy to install, with a minimum of pipes and fittings. The units afford easy access to all working components and can withstand the most adverse weather conditions on fishing and other vessels. Hydranor is also known for its production of complete valve units for hydraulic ship steering gear. The components are available in eight sizes with capacities up to 1200 l/min. A series of ISO standardized components was introduced in 1992. The company owns exclusive rights to market SUN American cartridge valves.
