Serving the world's energy industries
The Dresser-Rand Company employs approx. 8,000 dedicated and experienced people to design and supply rotating machinery for the world's energy industries. Dresser-Rand A/S, with its headquarters in Kongsberg, Norway, specializes in gas-turbine-driven generator sets in unit sizes from 1.4 MW to 41MW (ISO conditions). In addition, the company delivers gas-turbine-driven centrifugal gas compressors and pump sets for selected applications.

A wealth of experience
Dresser-Rand has delivered some 2,250 gas-turbine-driven units to 60 countries worldwide. High levels of availability and reliability are achieved in continuous operation in extreme conditions.

The gas turbines
In the 1.5-2.25MW range the company's proprietary KG2 heavy-duty gas turbine is used for all base load and standby power generation applications. With over 900 units delivered to 54 countries, the KG2 is the most proven gas turbine in this power range.
For powers in the range 1.4-41MW the General Electric range of LM gas generators and gas turbines is utilized, namely LM1600, LM2500, LM2500+ and LM6000. Where appropriate, Dresser-Rand power turbines are employed with the LM2500 / LM2500+ gas generators.

A wide range of applications
Dresser-Rand products are available in standard and tailor-made configuration for oil and gas projects onshore and offshore, petrochemical projects and industrial / combined heat and power (CHP) applications. In the latter, the turbine's exhaust heat is used for direct drying, steam and/or hot water production and thermal fluid systems.
