Accommodation at Snorrastadir is open all year long.
Snorrastadir is located in the heart of West Iceland and is only few min. frive from historical places and major towns in the West Iceland region.

Snorrastadir has 4 x 6 pers. summerhouses (cottages) with all facilities. 2 bedrooms (3 pers. each), kitchen, dining room, living room with TV and bathroom with shower. Each lodge has its own hot tub and a small outside grill. Bed linen can be rented separately.

Sleeping bag accommodation at Snorrastadir
Our sleeping bag accommodation is in a big two floor house, called "the white house". On the second floor there are 6 bedrooms, 2-5 pers. each room, 24 pers. all together. Living room with TV and WC and shower facility are there too. On the ground floor is the cooking facility with dining room for 35-40 pers. and another very big dining/dancing room for 130-150 pers. in seat.

On the ground floor there is also WC and shower facility for the campsite. The white house is ideal for individuals, bigger or smaller groups or family reunions. A very big outside grill goes with the house and of course a big hot tub. This is also open all year long.

Horse rental at Snorrastadir
Snorrastadir has over 12 years of experience in riding with tourists. Mostly we go for 1-3 hour ride, but longer rides can also be arranged. Riding ways are surrounded by a beautiful landscape everywhere we go, such as our very famous "Löngufjörur" (the Long Beaches), the lava field with the volcano Eldborg close by, up the mountain Fagraskógarfjall, or just along our little lovely river Kaldá.

We have horses for everyone; calm and easy horses for beginners and good trotters for experienced riders. Riding lessons are given before riding with beginners. We ride with groups (10-15 pers.) or individuals. We offer helmets but no other riding clothes or boots.

Snorrastaðir is well placed for many different day trips around the area e.g. Dalir, Borgarfjörður with Reykholt, Húsafell, Hraunfossar and many other interesting places to see and Snæfellsnes with all its wonders; magnificent nature, such as lava fields, beaches, the glacier Snæfellsjökull and more and more.
