Hotel Skógar, south Iceland
Hotel Skogar is situated at Skogar, near the Skogarfoss waterfall under
the Austur Eyjafjall mountains in the Rangarvalla district in southern
Iceland.
The Skogar Hotel boasts 12 rooms; one three-man, one single and 10
double rooms. We pride ourselves on a friendly service and comfortable
facilities. An open fire welcomes you to our top quality restaurant
where after your meal you can walk out and enjoy the view from the
sheltered veranda. Up to 35 guests can be accommodated in the hotel and
we offer facilities for a similar number of campers.

Our restaurant is open from 8a.m. to 11p.m. where emphasis is placed
on a simple but quality cuisine.
Hotel rooms are all well furnished
The hotel rooms are all furnished to a high standard with telephone, TV
and offer the use of a dressing gown. Breakfast room service can be
arranged. From the beautiful hotel gardens you can get a fantastic view
of the Eyjafjall glacier and the famous waterfall Skogarfoss or you can
take a relaxing dip in the hot pool and sauna.
From Sept. 1st to May 15th the Skogar Hotel is only open at weekends
mainly for organised groups and societies. From May 15th we are open 24
hours per day, 7 days a week and welcome foreign and Icelandic guests
who like to choose quality, comfort and excellent service. From October
1st to November 30th the hotel is again only open at weekends.
There are many interesting places to visit and trips to be taken in the
surrounding area which we are happy to arrange for our guests. There is
a museum,an extensive walking area to explore, horseback riding and
snowmobiling on Myrdals glacier. At Hotel Skogar our aim is to
provide you with quality, comfort and service.
