Jonas Agustsson Fish Export Ltd. The company was founded in 1980 by Jónas Ágústsson who to this day remains its general manager and proprietor. In the beginning the plant only processed cod but around 1990 the plant added various products from plaice to its list. In its 20 year history the company has developed and grown, always maintaining its original policy; to provide fresh and frozen products processed in a quick and efficient manner. We are located in Hafnarfjordur, one of Iceland´s biggest seaports, where all of our operation takes place. Technical development in the icelandic freezing plants Our company is a groundbreaker in technical development in the icelandic freezing plants market. All of our plants machinery is of the highest technical and quality standards available to this day. 18 employees are needed to supervise and participate in the process. Quality Being part of the HACCP quality assurance programme, we can promise our customers products of very high quality and complete traceability. Products and export from Iceland We focus on various products from haddock and plaice, fresh and frozen, exporting over 1500 tons a year by ship worldwide. Our main export markets are Holland, Spain, United Kingdom and USA. |
