Tampere Hall, Finland's leading congress and concert centre, was inaugurated in 1990. It is beautifully located in Sorsapuisto Park, within a short walking distance of the city centre. The hall, a work of art in itself, has a number of different rooms, halls, auditoria, cafes and a restaurant. The flexible facilities meet various requirements. Qualified staff help to organize any event such as meetings, exhibitions, fairs and festivals. The exhibition rooms, for instance, cover an area of 3,500 m2. In 1995 some 10,000 people attended the international congresses at Tampere Hall. Most of the congresses dealt with medicine, technology and teaching.
Tampere is situated in the centre of southern Finland. The city has about 175,000 inhabitants. |
