HM TOURS represents three individually-owned
guesthouses which all work in close
co-operation with the Inner Mission in the Faroe Islands. The guesthouses are all
moderately priced and have therefore gained a popular status amongst visitors, native and
foreign alike. The guesthouses are all conveniently situated as regards transport,
exciting nature excursions and otherservices.
Guesthouse Tórshavnar Sjómansheim
is centrally situated in the capital of the Faroe Islands - Tórshavn. The guesthouse has
for several years been one of the most popular and cheapest places to stay for visitors to
the town. It is located close to the harbour, practically on the city centre's doorstep.
The guesthouse has 70 beds, in double and single rooms. Each room is equipped with a
telephone. Extra beds can be arranged for larger families. The restaurant is open from
morning till night everyday.
Guesthouse Klaksvíkar Sjómansheim
is situated centrally in Klaksvík with a beautiful view of the harbour. There are 67 beds
in single and double rooms. Here, an arrangement can also be made for extra beds for
larger families. The restaurant serves breakfast from 7am weekdays and 8am Sundays and
stays open till11pm.
Guesthouse Runavíkar Sjómansheim
is considerably smaller, offering 47 beds. Like the others, there are single and double
rooms with a possibility of additional beds for families. There are telephones in some of
the rooms. The restaurant is open every day of the week.
Runavík is situated in Skálafjörđur, which is the longest fjord in the Faroe Islands.
The fjord area is enriched with very beautiful scenery, giving ample opportunity for
mountain walking and climbing. The ever-changing weather conditions of the North Atlantic
add an extra touch of excitement with their frequent and sudden changes. For this reason,
we recommend warm clothing on suchtrips.
